For more than 20 years, I have been managing international operations of several large corporations. Leadership- and management topics always fascinated me. 2008, after an intensive coaching education, I left operations in the direction of Leadership Development by taking over the management of the Leadership Academy at Swarovski. During those years – also benefiting from the cooperation with external coaches – my conviction matured, that people need to be accompanied during the learning, reflection and implementation phase, in order to increase impact.

As an executive coach – also on behalf of INSEAD – I focus on leadership issues from top managers. I’m supporting them to gain access to their own resources and skills, which expand their alternatives of actions, enable them to develop answers to their questions and to translate consequently into corresponding actions. But what motivates the client really to act, what drives him? Why does a person think, feel and act the way he or she thinks, feels and acts? I can only have an impact with my interventions, when we get closer to the answers to those questions by build a trusting relationship.

But does coaching really have an impact? And if yes, what’s the right approach? When looking for a scientifically founded impact model, I found the approach of integrative coaching developed by Prof. Dr. Gerhard Roth and Dr. Alica Ryba (2019). Since 2020 I’m using this approach as a certified senior practitioner, details can be found in the download area.

Under the umbrella of the RLD Group, I’m offering complementary services in association with selected partners, such as teaching specific leadership and management knowledge, conducting business and executive coaching, outplacement and the recently developed burnout prevention program, called RE.SET.

Since February 2017, I have been an honorary professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Kufstein/Tyrol, responsible for the topic of leadership. In addition, I give guest lectures as part of EMBA programs at the Universities of Zurich and St.Gallen and published in August 2014 my book “Bonsai – From Superiors to Managers”.

In a podcast interview, I talked to Jürgen Zwickel about what really makes a successful leader and manager and why lived values are so important in day-to-day management work.
